(whispering) is a group exhibition project bringing together artists from Ufa, Perm, Kazan, and Izhevsk; it is an exhibition-investigation of a situation we did not choose, but in which we find ourselves. Looking around in confusion for surviving values, carefully moving through the fragments of language, we can only speak to each other in whispers. What exactly we are saying remains to be discovered: it is time to turn and look closely at one another, breaking all the social distances taught to us over the past two years.

(whispering) is situated in the illumination of connections between cities and communities, in the conversation between languages and genres. Perhaps (whispering) should not be thought of as a finished and solid structure that will provide answers to all questions. Rather, it should be seen as a temporary refuge within which we can look around, comprehend our position as witnesses, and whisper to one another.

In experiencing the situation, we fiercely look to the past, searching for hints of the present. We sift through it piece by piece, wash away epochs, dust off long-forgotten things, and discover methods that can help us now.
